The children's author David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Prolific young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A spokesman for the firm commented: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was made after an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards female individuals.
The publisher declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies globally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
He has published over four dozen titles combined, which features a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
